FAQ

Thanks for participating in the 31 Days of Giveaways!

Here are the answers to some of the questions we anticipate we might get. If you still have questions, you can always email us at customerservice@mbeans.com and we will be glad to answer you personally. Good luck!

Q. How do the giveaways work?
A. We give away a new item every day all month long. Each giveaway begins at 12:01am and ends at 11:59pm. Winners are announced the following morning. You can’t just enter once for all the prizes, because it’s a whole new giveaway every day.

Q. How do I enter the giveaways?
A. We are using Rafflecopter to collect the entries. We chose Rafflecopter because it is easy to use and it allows us to reward you with extra entries! Don’t you want extra entries? We thought so. To enter, simply follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter window. Your entry can be as simple as just providing us with your zip code, or you can get fancy and earn those aforementioned extra entries. You decide.

Q. Help, the Rafflecopter isn’t showing up on the giveaway page!
A. This happens very occasionally. Just refresh the page and it should appear.

Q. Can I enter the giveaways from my mobile phone?
A. To enter the mobile friendly giveaway, please visit our Facebook page.

Q. If I sign up for the Magic Beans email list, will I automatically get the results email each day?
A. No, you won’t. Some of our subscribers don’t want to get a daily email from us, so the best thing to do is to create a separate list for the results emails. You can sign up via the link in Rafflecopter every day.

Q. It seems like Rafflecopter will let me enter for something I say I’ve done, even if I haven’t actually done it. Is it possible to game the system?
A. You could. But we will be verifying the winner before finalizing and announcing his/her name. So if (for example) you indicate that you’re on the Magic Beans mailing list, but we can’t find you, you’ll be disqualified and a new winner will be drawn. Same goes if you’ve said you’ve “liked” a brand’s page on Facebook, but really you haven’t. It only takes one legitimate entry to win (and it only takes one entry that can’t be verified to be disqualified). So if you’re going to enter, just enter for things you’ve really done.

Q. Who can enter 31 Days of Giveaways?
A. 31 Days of Giveaways is open to all residents of the USA located within the United States. Due to international laws regarding giveaways and varying policies on baby gear in other countries, we are unable to ship any prizes outside of the United States. Sadly, this also includes APO addresses.

Q. Why are many of the winners from the Boston area?
A. We get this question every year, and we also get the next question too. It’s a little bit baffling, but it all comes down to perception. What people really want to know is “why didn’t I win??” — and we can understand that. These prizes are pretty awesome. But the drawings are truly random, and no one gets preferential treatment (just ask our friends). Sometimes it seems like a lot of Boston-area people win, and that’s because almost our stores are in Boston and therefore a higher percentage of those entering are from this area. But there’s no conspiracy — we promise.

Q. Why are all the winners from outside the Boston area?
A. See above. For our loyal customers in Boston, it can be frustrating when prizes go to people outside our home turf. But we do have customers all over the country who shop online, and every once in a while, those people get lucky, too. Again, the process is random.
