Putting a baby to bed can feel like an Olympic sport sometimes. It takes determination, physical and mental fortitude, and of course, careful training (thanks, Mom). And you are becoming a real pro. After cuddling and cooing and rocking your baby, she’s finally dozed off. Tiptoeing out of the room, you can’t help but do a little victory dance in your head. But ten minutes later, as you pull those piping hot lasagna leftovers out of the microwave, your sleeping beauty is no longer sleeping. She has jolted herself awake and is wailing inconsolably. Now, all you feel is dread and exhaustion as you try to muscle up and get back in the game. It’s gonna be a long night.
Luckily, there is a little secret that will help you put your baby to bed victoriously. Pick up some Aden and Anais Bamboo Swaddling Blanket 3-Pack. By swaddling your baby tightly in these blankets, she won’t keep waking up throughout the night. They are crafted from a soft, breathable muslin fabric that will keep her warm without getting overheated. You’ll also love the size of the fabric; it’s big enough that your baby won’t wiggle free and keeps her cozy and warm all night. It’s also makes Aden and Anais blankets able to be used for longer and ideal as blankies for toddlers.
These three muslin swaddling blankets are made using rayon from bamboo fiber and are unbelievably soft - especially after they've gone through the wash.
Soft, breathable, washable, large
Can snag on Velcro
These are the softest blankets ever! Both my boys have enjoyed being swaddled with them, and continue to sleep with them as they get older. The one downside is that this soft fabric snags a little bit on Velcro, but that's the only negative I can think of. Easy to wash, they get softer with time, and they are much softer than the regular cotton ones by the same company.
These blankets are so soft! They get softer with each wash. Lightweight and breathable, they are great for swaddling in any season. My two year old still wants to sleep with them. One con is that if they get near Velcro, it will pull them a bit and the bamboo fabric is more delicate than the regular cotton, but I still prefer the bamboo due to softness. Also great for shading from sun over stroller (for baby), throwing over the carseat when we leave the car (so seat doesn't get hot), etc!
Super soft, multiple uses
Might spoil your child
I wasn't expecting these new bamboo ones to be so different from the original cotton ones--they are, in a good way. They are so soft, I can't imagine anything except heavier cashmere or fur being softer. Seriously amazing. And they still are large and swaddle younger infants quite well too.
