Muslin is a fabric with many faces. Originating in Bangladesh, the loosely-woven cotton fabric has been used to dress women as elegant as Marie Antoinette, and to form stunning stage backdrops. But it’s also used as a cheap test-fabric in elegant dressmaking, and used in cooking to drain cheese and bake Christmas puddings.
Most recently, muslin has been used to swaddle babies: moms love the soft, breathable swaddling blankets from Aden + Anais! The Cotton Crib Sheets from Aden + Anais use the same gentle organic cotton fabric, with an open weave that allows for superior airflow, keeping babies comfy in their crib. Aden + Anais Cotton Crib Sheets are warm in winter, cool in summer, and all-natural. Fitted crib sheets are made with 100% organic cotton; 50” x 28”.
I love the Aden + Anais swaddling blankets, and these crib sheets have the same wonderfully soft feel. They also fit perfectly on a standard crib mattress -- snug enough to meet safety standards, but not so snug that you struggle to get them on. I highly recommend them!
