About the BABYBJÖRN Travel Crib Light 2So, you are heading off to your best friend’s holiday party and the baby is coming along for the night. You’ve got it all – a diaper bag literally bursting with gear, three changes of clothes, and of course, enough squishy toys to entertain a whole day care classroom. Once you arrive at the party, you tuck your sidekick into a (very fashionable) sling and start making your rounds, chatting it up while you balance baby, appetizer plate, and that festive glass of bubbly. After about half an hour, you find yourself impersonating an octopus, trying to cuddle, eat dinner, and of course shake hands with every new face in the room. Well, there is a solution and yes, it is very easy.

It weighs less than 11 pounds (case included) and makes setting up a baby zone ridiculously easy. No need to have extensive experience camping to set up this little baby crib – there are no pieces that need to be screwed together. Simply pull the crib open and it will instantly pop into formation. The soft fabric makes the crib cozy and comfortable for your baby and both the bed fabric and waterproof mattress cover can be machine washed. When not in use, Baby Bjorn’s Travel Crib fits compactly into its carrying case.
The only remaining problem? How to get your sleeping baby to the car before the party really gets going.
Precautions to be taken (provided by BABYBJÖRN): - Never leave your child unattended in the travel crib. Small children are curious, and your child may learn how to climb out of the crib – perhaps earlier than you imagine. - Be sure to always use BABYBJÖRN's original mattress, with its built-in, rigid base, which is essential to the bed's design. Without the base, the child can tip the bed over.

A snap to set up and break down, and the small footprint makes it easy to fit in any tiny hotel or guest room. Pricey, for sure, but if you travel a lot it is certainly worth it. We travel a lot and having seen a lot of very, very bad (often dangerous) hotel cribs/pack-n-plays we never travel without them. It is so comfortable that we also leave it set up in our guest room for my son to nap in every day.
The most amazing feature about this crib (other than the light weight) is that it quite literally unfolds itself (which is awesome for when you get into a hotel ate a night). The picture/instructions for refolding it are on the bottom so you can never lose them. It folds into a bag (included) about the size of a medium suitcase and weighs about half as much as the smallest pack-n-play (the bassinet only size Graco).
The sides angle inwards which makes it a) less concerning if an infant rolls to the edge (because there still feels like there is room for them to breath) and b) very, very difficult for a toddler to climb out of.
The mattress includes a zip off waterproof cover. Make sure to order a couple of the sheets (not included). Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. You flagged this review
