Q: Tell me a bit about why you’re excited about the new Britax ClickTight Convertible Car Seats.

The new line of convertibles makes installation in most cars very, VERY easy. And proper installation equals safety. That’s easy.

Q: The official hashtag for news about these seats is #BritaxGameChanger. Do you agree that they’re a real game changer? How so?

They’re a game-changer for Britax. For the last couple years a few brands have made significant changes in their convertible car seats, or developed convertibles with better ease-of-use features (not to mention aesthetics). The new seats step it UP for Britax, not to mention they look soo. much. nicer.

Q: Will this new car seat installation technology change what you recommend to parents who ask for your advice on selecting a convertible car seat?

It will now make me take Britax back into consideration. I don’t think there’s a perfect seat for every parent, but they install VERY well. Combine this with the fact that Britax added a couple of inches in height limit to two of their convertibles in this line, and they’re a contender. Like De Niro.

Q: What families will benefit the most from this technology, and under what circumstances?

The new Britax seats will be great for families with more than one car who do not want to buy multiple seats. The new ClickTight Convertible Seats make moving around between cars SO much easier.

Q: How do you think that ClickTight will affect the better brands in the car seat industry? Are the rest of the companies going to have to play catch-up now?

I don’t think other brands will need to play catch-up at all. Now there are 5 top-notch convertible car seats and each and every one of them has their own merits. Clek, Peg Perego, Diono, Chicco, Britax. It’s a great club to be in and each seat has great features, and parents needn’t stress out.
