Bloom Fresco High Chair

When we first saw the Bloom Fresco High Chair at a baby show in Germany, we joined a crowd of gawkers who had stopped to stare. There was a particularly cute baby sitting in the chair, but she wasn’t the one who had captivated the audience. It was the sleek piece of furniture she was perched upon. We weren’t the only ones to sit up and take notice – the Fresco chair was the recipient of the prestigious Kind + Jugend design & innovation award.

The smooth lines and beautiful colors of the Bloom Fresco High Chair are so distinctive and unique, and the chair is engineered to accommodate children from infancy through kindergarten, with a weight limit of 79 lb.

The chair offers 360 degree rotation and a pneumatic-assist, easy-lift height adjustment that allows for practically infinite positions. The contour of the seat itself is reminiscent of a pod or cocoon, and in fact the seat reclines far enough to be comfortable for a 3-month old baby. The seat has a removable 5-point harness and a multiple position footrest. There’s even a storage compartment for parts and the instruction manual.

Spilling the beans: The Fresco Chair includes a micro suede seat pad and harness covers, but these are not machine washable. Bloom Baby, the manufacturer, reports that spot cleaning the fabric is sufficient to keep it looking fresh. The removable tray is dishwasher safe.
