We’re constantly singing the praises of all the new modern doodads that make feeding and caring for your child easier (partly because we use them, and partly because we sell them): marvelous spillproof sippy cups, colic-reducing baby feeding bottles, and more. But these cool items have one drawback: lots of tiny, easily-misplaced parts.
Fortunately, Boon is constantly coming up with new doodads to help you keep track of your doodads, and the Boon Clutch Dishwasher Basket is a brilliant one! This clever little clamshell keeps baby bottle and sippy cup parts organized, safe, and correctly positioned in the dishwasher, with slots that are perfectly designed to keep baby bottle nipples, sippy cup spouts, and valve straws firmly in place. Nipples pop into the slots and stay in place as you load and close the Clutch Dishwasher Basket, and valve straws can be threaded through to stand upright.
Use the Boon Clutch Dishwasher Basket on the top shelf of your dishwasher; it contains no BPA, PVC, or phthalates. Holds 6 large or 14 small bottle nipples, plus additional parts for up to 8 bottles.
Sturdy, good design for nipples
Not easy to position some parts for optimal cleaning
After several months of washing bottles by hand every night we had the realization that we could get a dishwasher basket for bottle parts and run them through the dishwasher. This has saved a lot of time. We use Dr. Brown's 4 oz bottles currently. The basket is great for all the parts, but is a little tricky to position blue tubes so that they get cleaned properly (but it's do-able). Holds everything well and despite reviews I read on Amazon, no issues with it breaking from repeated opening/closing and there do not seem to be any parts that look faulty/ too delicate in the hinge/lock mechanism that would make it likely to break. This is after 1 month of almost daily use.
4 beans instead of 5 just because it would be nice if you could more easily position the parts inside the basket so they stay how you want them during the wash cycle. Otherwise, it's great.
