Pros:

Stable, Easy To Assemble, Portable, Easy to Clean, Lightweight, Stylish, Easily Stowed

I used this with my son for a few months once he could sit with his head supported. To be honest, I didn't get what the craze was about- it's just a seat. He didn't like being in it, and I thought it looked uncomfortable when he slouched down. I DID think it was useful however when we were traveling and it was an impromptu feeding seat. Of course you should never leave them unattended for a minute- this can tip.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
