Is it possible to judge a book by its cover? Sometimes, beauty obscures deeper flaws, or a humble appearance can distract you from an object’s true value. But sometimes, if you’re lucky, the appearance and the value match up: you might find a classic volume with a bold, modern, and lovely new jacket design, or you might find a superbly protective infant car seat that happens to look incredibly cool.
That would be the Cybex Aton Q, which not only boasts some of the niftiest styling we’ve ever seen on an infant car seat, but also has some of the most exciting safety features. It looks futuristic, it’s simple to install and use, and most importantly, it will keep your baby safe in the car. Let’s have a closer look, shall we? Features of the Cybex Aton Q Infant Car Seat include:
And then there’s the stylish, space-age look: the Cybex Aton Q infant car seat boasts bold colors, a streamlined shape, and unusual silver accents. The fold-away canopy curves gracefully over the seat, providing UVP 50+ sun protection, as well as protection from wind and rain; you can extend it incrementally or tuck it away entirely. You can also purchase a variety of infant car seat adapters (sold separately) to turn your Aton Q and your stroller into a terrifically convenient and stylish travel system.
In short, the Cybex Aton Q Infant Car Seat is exactly as good as it looks, with value to match its bold façade. It looks terrific, it does a great job at protecting your baby – and it makes you look like a very smart parent!
NOTE: The base to install in your car is included with the Cybex Aton Q Infant Car Seat.
Durable, easy to use, looks sleek, great fabric
The only complaint I have about this product is the weight. It is a tad on the heavy side. I love the fabric and the canopy on this! It looks awesome. I can not wait to use this!
Safety, Improved canopy design
Material is not summer friendly, Colors, Limited Accessories
The new Cybex Aton Q has clear advantages over the previous models in terms of safety (additional side impact protection) and canopy design (larger and prettier shaped canopy). The is a bit on a heavier side, but it is also more spacious and can accommodate a slightly larger child than most. My main complaint is the seat fabric. Two things: 1) it cannot be removed for cleaning (you can only spot clean) and 2) it is quite unsuitable for warm weather. The company does have a "summer" cover, but it is not available for sale in the US and as of now they have no plans to release it to the US market either. My one other complaint is the color of the canopy. Other than the purple and orange seat models, all other seat color choices have a black canopy which may get hot in the summer. Some more optimistic color choices matching the seat fabric would have been a much nicer way to go.
