about the Feed The Kitty

If your cat is anything like ours, she likes chasing string but wouldn’t know what to do with a live mouse if she found one. The cat at the center of Feed the Kitty by Gamewright is a little more aggressive: roll the dice to feed her mice!

Feed the Kitty is a simple, fast-paced game of luck that requires no reading or math skills, so kids as young as age 4 can join the fun. To play, divvy up the mice among the players, and then take turns rolling the two dice. The moves are:

  • If you roll a kitty bowl: put a mouse in the kitty bowl.
  • If you roll an arrow: pass a mouse to the player on your left.
  • If you roll a mouse: retrieve a mouse from the kitty bowl.
  • If you roll a sleeping cat: do nothing.

The objective of Feed the Kitty is to be the last player left holding mice. But even if you run out of mice, you can keep playing: if you’re out of mice, you can’t roll, but the person next to you may pass you a mouse, allowing you to resume rolling.

Feed the Kitty by Gamewright is easy to play and is very entertaining for small children, who learn how to take turns and cooperate. Recommended for ages 4 and up; 2-5 players. Includes 20 wooden mice, two dice, and a rulebook.
