A funny thing happens if you try to spend a lot of time reading about spiders, or looking at pictures of spiders: first, the back of your neck starts to prickle. Then, you get progressively more and more anxious and itchy until you really, really have to stop reading about spiders. (That’s why none of the research we just did about spiders is here – we do not wish to alienate customers by making you read about spiders.)
Ok, maybe you have a different reaction to all things spider-related – and we’re willing to bet that your curious kid does too. Kids can’t get enough of the creepy-crawly Hexbug Spider, a clever little remote-controlled bug that imitates the motion of the real thing with a few robotic tweaks: it has six legs instead of eight, and its head rotates 360 degrees! It also has a nifty translucent shell, so kids can watch all those cool robotic parts moving around as their Hexbug Spider scuttles around the room.
The Hexbug remote control spider utilizes a two-channel infrared remote, so kids can control multiple bugs at the same time. The direction that the Spider’s single glowing red eye is pointing is the direction that it will walk in, so the whole body doesn’t need to turn for it to change direction. (Creepy!) It doesn’t take a lot of work to master controlling the Hexbug Spider, and kids will invent their own ways to play with their little robotic pal: can it carry or drag objects? And, how many ways can you use it to scare people? Muhahah!
The Hexbug Spider requires 5 AG13 batteries, which are included.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
