Infant Car SeatsYour infant car seat, or baby bucket seat, is the single most important piece of safety equipment you’ll purchase for your new baby. And we’re not exaggerating, either: you can’t leave the hospital with your newborn without one. In an emergency, a high-quality, correctly-installed infant car seat can save your baby’s life – so naturally, we only sell the best. read more
The most popular infant car seats on the market are popular for a reason: the Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat, the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio Infant Car Seat, and the Chicco Keyfit Infant Car Seat are all convenient to use and loaded with high-quality EPS (energy absorbing foam) to protect your child in the event of an impact. Maxi-Cosi infant car seats kick up the style and technology a notch, with superior SIP (Side Impact Protection) and awesome colors.
And then there’s Orbit Baby, whose child safety seats take engineering and ease of use to a whole new galaxy: the Orbit Baby G2 Infant Car Seat boasts eco-friendly, organic fabrics and high-grade EPP foam. Best of all, this infant car seat docks onto any Orbit Baby SmartHub, making it equally easy to use it as a car seat and as a stroller seat on your Orbit Baby G2 Travel System, and allowing you to rotate the seat 360 degrees. You won’t believe how easy it is to travel with Orbit!
All of our other seats can function in a travel system, too, but you’ll need an infant car seat adapter to fit your favorite car seat with your favorite baby stroller. And remember, it’s better for baby to sleep lying flat, so for a long-term snooze n’ stroll situation, get a cozy carrycot or bassinet.
Even the best infant car seat isn’t 100% effective unless it’s installed correctly. Read the car seat instruction manual thoroughly and follow it to the letter, and if you’re not sure that you’ve got your car seat installed correctly (and even if you are), get it checked. If you’re lucky enough to live in Magic Beans territory, near Boston, our certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will teach you everything you need to know about car seats; if you don’t, consult the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for your local Child Car Seat Inspection Station. You’ll feel a lot better knowing your baby is totally protected – and so will we! show less |
