Don’t be fooled by their reputation: some alligators are very nice. For instance, the oldest alligator held in captivity, who lived at a zoo in Latvia, was named “Cabulitus,” which translates to “sweet and tender creature.” This elderly gentleman, who lived to age 75, preferred not to eat live prey, and enjoyed being sprayed with warm water and listening to German pop music.
