The Spirograph was invented around 1881, and similar versions of it have been sold since 1908, when the Marvelous Wondergraph made its debut. The toy has come and gone over the years and changed little – until now! The new Kahootz Original Spirograph Cyclex makes the same gorgeous designs, but simplifies the process so that it requires much less skill and coordination to get started, so even very small children can get amazing results.
Instead of the familiar device requiring the placement of gears and pins, this new Spirograph encloses all the moving parts in a single Cyclex frame, and kids can choose which slot on which gear to choose. Just position the Cyclex on top of the paper (rubber feet help to hold it in place), choose a marker, and start tracing the shape inside the gear, and it will advance automatically, guiding the marker into familiar lacy Spirograph designs.
Because everything is enclosed in the Cyclex, there are no small parts for kids to lose, and because the Cyclex holds everything in place, there’s no frustrating slippage to mess up your child’s designs. So even young kids will be amazed by the results they get!
As with a traditional Spirograph, you can use any markers, pens, colored pencils, or crayons that you have handy, and any paper you like. Drawing with the Spirograph Cyclex is great fine-motor practice and encourages kids to get creative, and because everything is enclosed, this is a great toy to keep kids busy on a long car trip or on a plane.
The Kahootz Spirograph Cyclex comes with 6 art markers, a storage tray, a design guide, and 20 pieces of design paper.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
