Chances are, when you picture a fire station, the first thing you think of is the bright red engine, and the second is the sliding pole. Poles came into common usage because they clipped essential minutes out of the process of getting firefighters to the site of the fire: Captain David B. Kenyon of Chicago Company 21 built the first one, and when it was realized that Company 21 was nearly always first to a site, other stations adopted the practice.
The modern fire station has pretty much the same structure – a garage, living quarters, and of course, a pole – and so does the supremely detailed LEGO City Fire Station (7208). Designed for a totally immersive building and play experience, this LEGO fire station has everything kids need to imagine a firefighter’s life and put out imaginary fires:
The LEGO City Fire Station has garage doors that open and close, and, along with the station itself, there are two LEGO vehicles to build, so there’s plenty to keep multiple kids busy! We suggest building your LEGO City Fire Station on a tray or another movable surface, so that kids can build anywhere and play anywhere without having to rebuild the station. Suggested for ages 5 and up.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
