Dressing for an Irish Stepdancing competition is serious business. Because it’s a traditional dance form, it’s very important to be dressed properly, and the correct costume differs depending on the dance type. Girls in festival dance wear their hair long and loose; girls in commission dance either curl their hair or wear a curly wig. Festival dance costumes are loose and flowing, while commission dancers wear their dance school’s colors and uniform, and their skirts are stiff and pleated.
Adelaene, the Irish Step Dancing Groovy Girl, is dressed for action as a commission dancer, with lovely flaming red curls and her own Groovy Girls take on a traditional costume. Kids who love Irish dance or want to show some Irish (or redhead) pride will love playing with this stylish 13” doll. And remember, kids: stepdancing is all about the feet, so when you’re making Adelaene dance, don’t move her arms! Suitable for ages 3 and up.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
