The Melissa & Doug Mailbox and Mail Set introduces kids to the fun of sending and receiving mail, and it’s a fun shape-sorter as well.

The Mailbox Set includes a sturdy, authentic-looking wooden mailbox (14” high) and six wooden pieces of “mail,” in different sizes so they can be sorted into different slots on the box. And since we all know that you can’t send mail for free, this Melissa & Doug set includes six removable self-stick stamps that stick to the mail with hook-and-loop (Velcro). When everything is mailed, kids can unlock the mailbox with a wooden key, take the mail out, and start over.

Smaller children will use the Melissa & Doug Mailbox and Mail Set as a simple shape-sorter, and they love turning the key to open the door. Older kids will enjoy pretending to send mail, or pretending to be a mail carrier – combine this set with a toy truck or a ride-on to “deliver” mail! Includes a mailbox with two doors (a locking door and a magnetic door) and three mail sorting slots, plus six pieces of mail, six stamps, and a key. Suitable for ages 3 and up.
