So, you’ve picked out the perfect car seat and stroller for your family – your baby will travel in safety and style. But what about those times when you want him to be close to you, snuggled up against your chest? What do you do when you are lounging at a family picnic and want him right there in your arms? Well, as many new mothers know, it’s hard to eat while you’re holding a baby.

That’s why the Moby Wrap Baby Carrier was created, an incredibly comfortable and easy solution for keeping baby close by. The Moby wrap is a long strip of fabric that gets wrapped over both shoulders and tied around your waist. The design is simple and elegant with no fasteners, buckles, or straps to deal with. Instead, you have a sleek way to carry your child until he is 35 lbs and the soft stretch cotton ensures that the wrap will keep its form. Though the wrapping takes some practice, you will soon see that it is as easy as tying a scarf around your neck. Your little one can be tucked into the wrap in several ways, maximizing comfort and style. He can face you, peer out at the world, look sideways, or even, if you’re adventurous, get strapped to your back.

For your baby, the best part is he can take part in all the action, whether you are sitting down to e-mail some friends or stepping out for some ice cream after dinner. Your baby will feel the warmth, comfort, and security of being close to someone who loves him.

Love the Moby wrap! Very easy to use after a short period of "how in the world does this thing work?" So versatile for many different carrying positions/baby sizes. The fact that it wraps around your waist takes a ton of weight off your shoulders which makes it very comfy for the user. And my 9-month old still loves to be in it and has loved it since he was very small. It's easy to travel with since it folds up very small. Really great for public transportation.

It's a great price for a carrier.

Great for newborns - so helpful to have your hands free & your baby close.

Biggest drawback is that it does need to be put on before you leave the house - otherwise it's so long it drags on the ground outside.

Can be worn in many many ways.
Best Carrier I Tried

I wore my son in a Moby quite a lot for the first 6 months of his life. Although it took me half a dozen tries to get the hang of wrapping the Moby, I ultimately liked it much better than the "wrapless wrap" I tried. I could get the Moby tighter to my body and felt like the baby was more secure. Plus, although it looks more complicated, the Moby was actually easier to keep from twisting and bunching when wrapping.

Once I wrapped the Moby, it was no big deal to leave it on even if the baby wasn't inside. This was especially great for driving -- I could tie the Moby at home and then transfer the baby from car seat to Moby once I arrived at my destination.

After using a sling for the first four months of my daughter's life, I finally saw the light and switched to a Moby Wrap.

I wish I had switched earlier!

I was initially NOT into the Moby because i thought it was 1) too hard to use (the wrapping looked complicated) and 2) it pretty much consumed the top portion of your outfit.

I overcame those initial negatives by realizing that 1) it is NOT HARD to tie on--like riding a bike, the first time you do it, you never forget and 2) it might embody your top half but you will LOVE it SO much that you don't care what you look like!

I used this Moby with my 17-month old until I was 9-months pregnant. It was THAT comfortable and easy to use. Then, when our baby came along, I put her in there from day one-- a breeze and so comfortable for both of us. Needless to say, our older daughter was a bit jealous but she has her own toddler moby to use with her dolls now so we're good.

Bottom line--buy this now and you'll never look back!
Loved to snuggle my newborn with it

This carrier is great for that womb like feel for your baby. It was wonderful to be able to wear my son and still be able to have my hands free to tend to my older children. So comfy and snugly without being too hot in the summer (I used it in the TX and NC heat). Only downside was after about my kids hit 25lbs it did start to hurt my back so moved to a more structured carrier, but until then I never left home without it.

This was, by far, the best thing we bought when my son was born. It was so useful for traveling! But, even more so, during all of his little baby appointments and colds, when he wanted to be held all day, putting him in the Moby satisfied him and gave me the freedom to get things done!

I recommend this to every new (and not new!) Mom I know!!!
Great wrap for first-timers

My husband and I both love this wrap. It's one-size-fits all (well most) and the instructions are well written. They have a great website and plenty of people post on youtube so there is no lack of instructions.

It washes well and when I felt like the fabric was getting too stretched out, I tossed it into the dryer on low and it tightened right back up again. The fabric is a heavy tee shirt material so it was very soft and comfortable though a tad bit hot in the middle of August in Boston.

Once I got the hang of using it, it became an essential part of my life. Both my husband and I carried our son around constantly until he was starting to crawl (and then demanded to be put down to explore).

We went from the kangaroo/cradle/semi-reclined holds at birth all the way to back holds. You can also do more advanced baby wearing wraps like breastfeeding and some of the toddler hip carries. But, keep in mind that the stretchy nature of the wrap can make some of these holds harder and you may have to retie.

I also loved that I could keep this wrap on all day and not have to retie or adjust it. Just tie it on, jump in the car, arrive at destination, pop baby in and go. Other carriers have to be fussed with or taken off in order to get baby in
