Have kids? Travel often? The Radian XTSL Car Seat by Sunshine Kids is an absolute must. It's a super-strong, easy-to-use car seat that actually folds up flat, to a mere 7" depth. You can tote it through the airport in its Travel Bag (sold separately), stow it in your trunk, or even slide it under a bed. And it's strong. Radians are the only car seats constructed from a steel alloy frame. Additionally, the Radian positions your child's center of gravity as low and as far back as possible on the vehicle's seat, giving it extra stability.

The Radian XTSL is an updated version of the popular Radian XT Convertible Car Seat.  It incorporates Sunshine Kids' SuperLATCH™ technology that allows the car seat to remain installed with the specially designed LATCH connectors until your child reaches 80 pounds. This is a tremendous innovation, as most car seats can only safely be installed with LATCH if the child is 48 pounds or less.

Radian car seats (which are known for their small footprint, ability to fold for travel, and steel alloy frame) are now available with advanced side impact protection head support in the XTSL model. The reinforced head support and EPS foam surround the child's head and body and add an extra measure of safety and security. The head support is adjustable and independent of the harness.

The Radian XTSL accommodates children weighing 5 to 45 pounds in the rear-facing position, and children over one year old, weighing up to 80 pounds, and measuring up to 53" tall, in the forward-facing position. The five-point harness has five slots for the shoulder straps and three slots at the crotch. There's EPS foam at the head, torso, and seating area, which provides extra padding in case of impact. It's a plus for comfort too. The seat includes a V-shaped tether for the rear-facing position (this is not the case for many other seats), a patented Lock-Tite harness clip, and it is LATCH equipped.

In fact, its outer shell is surprisingly narrow, despite a roomy seating area. This allows you to fit three seats across, or install it in the center seat, leaving room for passengers on either side. Installation is easy and is aircraft approved. Ciao, baby.

Radian XTSL Car Seat
The BEST carseat out there

We have 6 Radians total, including two of this model. We love Radians for their portability and narrowness - we can get three across in our Volvo! This is the newest model and is the ONLY carseat on the market that has been tested for 80 pounds using LATCH! Can't say enough good things about this carseat. Yes, it's heavy, but to you really want to depend on a flimsy plastic carseat to rotech your child? Not me!!
The Last Carseat You'll Ever Buy!

This car seat is very comfortable and well constructed. My daughter has been in this seat for a year now and is almost 5 years old. The way the seat fits into the car allows her legs to hang more naturally as compared to most convertible car seats. The great thing is that this seat will last for a long time and is very safe. I'm considering purchasing a 2nd one for my son. We did have a tough time installing it but went to the police station & now it's very secure. I would definitely recommend this seat!
Great Seat! Long Lasting, Great Quality!

This car seat is one of the few that can actually fit a typical newborn, and last until the child is developmentally ready for a booster seat. It also has the highest rear facing weight limit of any seat on the market today, and one of the highest forward facing weight limits. My daughter is 5 and a half, and still comfortable and content in this seat.
This is also one of the few seats that will fit three across in the backseat of a sedan.

This seat is great because it is will last so long, newborn all he way up to booster age. My son rides in this seat in our car and is very comfortable with lots of leg room rear facing (he is almost 2). I feel very safe with him in it. It can be hard to install sometimes but overall it is worth the trouble.
