Being sweaty isn’t so much fun, for you or for your baby. That’s exactly why Ergobaby is launching a new carrier that will keep you both cool and comfortable wherever your babywearing journey takes you: the Ergobaby Four Position 360 Cool Air Carrier is designed to keep you and your baby cooler longer, with carefully designed ventilation for hot days.
The Cool Air carrier is similar to the original Ergobaby Four Position 360 baby carrier in many ways. Your baby can be worn in 4 ergonomic positions (front-inward, front-outward, hip, and back) from 7-33 pounds. It ensures comfort and healthy positioning for forward-facing babies with a structured bucket seat that keeps baby’s hips and legs in the optimal position, and provides optimal support for the head and neck.
There are 2 key differences between the original 360 carrier and the Cool Air 360 carrier:
- The first is the 3D air mesh panel in the front of the carrier that allows for improved breathability for parent and baby. No sweaty babies! The 3D mesh is also integrated into the straps and other parts of the carrier, adding extra padding and comfort.
- The waistbelt has been altered a little for this carrier: the original 360 carrier uses Velcro to close the waist belt, while the Cool Air carrier waistbelt clips closed; it’s easier to adjust, is nicely padded, and has lumbar support. As an active parent, I can attest to the fact that you will need to adjust the waistbelt when wearing your baby to get an optimal fit. To adjust the waistbelt on the original 360 carrier, you need to remove it completely. This new feature will make it easier for you to make necessary adjustments on the go! The other reason for this change is that mesh and Velcro don’t mix so well in the washing machine (hello pilling!). I can promise you that at some point, you WILL want/need to wash your baby carrier.
The Ergobaby Four Position 360 Cool Air carrier will come in a neutral carbon grey color with light grey mesh, and will be available in November 2015 for $180.
