When I first saw a picture of the Bugaboo Cameleon3 Sahara stroller, I wasn’t really sure what to make of it. It looked really nice, but was the lovely, tranquil color palette going to justify the special edition price point? It wasn’t until I saw it in person at The ABC Kids Expo earlier this month that I really understood the appeal.
The Sahara stroller isn’t just about color, it’s also about texture. The fabrics chosen for this edition are different from any other Cameleon. The outside base fabric is a 2-tone, yarn dyed canvas in a gorgeous taupe, and the inside features a soft, quilted gray jersey. The handlebar and carry handle are made of a rich brown faux-leather with a really nice stitching detail on the underside. The Sahara also comes with an expansive and luxurious knitted wool blanket in gray. All together, the stroller manages to be both warm and cool at the same time, proving that style and comfort can sometimes coexist (just maybe not in shoes).
The Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Sahara Special Edition is coming in December 2012, and will be a limited edition. The MSRP is $1149. Magic Beans will start taking preorders for the Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Sahara Special Edition beginning on November 1.
