VIDEO: The 2016 Clek Foonf Convertible Car Seat vs. the 2016 Clek Fllo

Choosing the right convertible car seat should be easy: the most expensive one is the best, right? Not exactly. The Clek Foonf Convertible Car Seat is the highest-priced seat in our selection (and one of the top-rated), but as Clek founder Chris Lumley told us back in 2014, it’s not for everyone. The Foonf’s rigid LATCH system is awesome, for sure – Baby Gear Lab describes forward-facing installation with LATCH as “so easy to use, you’ll think you did something wrong” – but if you’re installing three seats across or installing in the center position, you may want to install your car seat with a safety belt instead.

That’s why Clek introduced the Clek Fllo Convertible Car Seat, which has most of the awesome safety and convenience features you’ll find on the Foonf, including:

  • Extended rear-facing;
  • A steel anti-rebound bar;
  • A steel substructure;
  • Advanced side-impact protection; and more.

Like the Foonf, the Fllo can fit three across in one back seat, so while we’re totally on board with minivans, you may be able to avoid purchasing one if you don’t want to! The Fllo is also 10 pounds lighter than the Foonf and a tad cheaper.

With that said, it’s a lot easier to understand what makes each of these Clek convertible car seats unique by seeing them in action, so we made a video! Watch Eli and Meghan demonstrate the 2016 Clek Foonf Convertible Car Seat and the 2016 Clek Fllo Convertible Car Seat below.

Still have questions? Of course you do! (For instance, you may be wondering whether to get the Foonf or the other top-of-the-line seat we offer, the Nuna Rava!) We’re here to help:  call us at 866-600-2326, visit one of our six New England area stores, or book a FREE consultation with our baby gear experts, and we’ll help you find a car seat you’ll love to use.
