DROOL BABY EXPO
AUGUST 27, 2015, 4-9PM
HYATT REGENCY, GREENWICH CT
At Magic Beans, our specialty is baby gear – but that’s only one portion of the panoply of goods and services you’ll need with a new baby on the way (or newly arrived in your life). Childbirth services, lactation consultants, skincare, nutrition, baby photographers – you’ll be looking for all of them.
That’s why we added our local vendors’ space to the upcoming Drool Baby Expo, in the luxurious Sun Court Pavilion at the Hyatt. The more essential products, key services, and handy advice we can hook you up with, the better – after all, the less time you spend looking around for everything you need, the more time you can spend relaxing and enjoying your pregnancy (or enjoying getting to know your new baby).
Here are a few of our faves who you’ll find at Drool. Don’t miss it!
Pregnancy can be a difficult time for your skin: wacky hormonal changes can cause everything from dry skin to acne, and of course the skin on your tummy is going to be stretched to the limit. Quality skincare products will help you feel better about your changing body, and keep you feeling good and looking great!
Basq was founded by two glam NYC mamas who know exactly what you’re going through. As with many of the companies we carry, they designed the products they wanted to see on the market, and the result is superior quality skin care for the unique needs of expecting and new moms.
Two things that make Basq skincare products special:
- Their stretch mark formulas go beyond moisturizing – they’re designed to rebuild, repair, and strengthen your skin, fueling elasticity and resiliency.
- Their skincare products have unique aromas designed to have a positive effect on the mind, using plants and flowers to brighten, soothe, calm, and uplift. We can’t wait to take a whiff – can you?
Started in 2007, Tiny Tags creates simple, classic, gorgeous custom jewelry commemorating the special moments and special people in your life. A Tiny Tags charm necklace is a wonderful way to celebrate a new baby, and show your kids that you love them every day. (Note to dads and grandparents-to-be: if you want to make a new mom bawl her eyes out with joy, a gift from Tiny Tags is a good way to do it!)

No doubt you’re already popping prenatal vitamins and second-guessing every bite of food you put in your mouth – while eating an entire pint of Ben & Jerry’s on occasion is most certainly understandable, you’re definitely prioritizing nutrition during your pregnancy. Bundle Organics juices not only are packed with all the vitamins and minerals your little bundle of joy needs for proper development, but they’re also absolutely delicious! Which makes it a lot easier to gulp ’em down.
Every Bundle Organics drink is USDA Organic, pasteurized for safe sipping, OB-GYN approved, and powered up with an extra “bump” of folic acid, calcium, vitamin D, and Omega-3. Try their Kale Apple Lemon Ginger, Orange Carrot Berry Ginger, and Dark Berry & Veggies at Drool!
I saved my personal favorite for last: Classic Kids specializes in some of the most stunning pictures of babies and kids that I’ve ever seen. No stiff poses and “say cheese” here, because that’s not how you produce breathtaking fine art prints that really bring out the personality and joy of every baby and every kid. Instead, you get a one-to-two hour photoshoot with experts who know how to really make your family shine. Want to celebrate the beauty of your pregnancy? Their pics of expectant moms are simply amazing.
And these folks take the art of child photography just as seriously as we take the art of stroller matchmaking: on their “about us” page, the conversations they describe about the proper “peek-a-boo” technique sound remarkably like our office conversations about gear and toys. They’re all about the customer experience, and their goal is to delight you with the results – just like us.
