With the economy still trying to claw its way out of the toilet, we’re seeing a trend towards “affordable luxury” in the baby industry. Oeuf is one of the first to market, with their new Robin nursery furniture, a modern, eco-friendly collection priced at under $600 per piece. The set includes a crib ($565), a dresser ($585), and a toddler bed conversion kit ($145). The crib is constructed of birch and Nordic pine in a birch/white color combination. The dresser is a 3-drawer dresser that has room for a standard-size changing pad on top. The design is distinctive but doesn’t push the envelope.
The wood? Sustainable, from FSC-certified forests. The stains and finishes? Water-based and no-VOC. All good things and at a great price, too.
