How do you fit a Bugaboo Donkey double stroller in your car trunk? Find out here!

bugaboo-donkey-extendable-canopy-mono-black-redWhen Sheri and I started Magic Beans ten years ago, we realized one important thing about selling baby gear: it’s not about what we like, it’s about what makes each product right for our customers. Our mission is to find the perfect fit for every family, and that’s how I’ve trained our army of Magic Beans Gear Gurus over the years.

Nevertheless, when I really love a product, I can’t help but show it – I’m a pretty effusive person when I like something, so when it comes to the Bugaboo Donkey, my passion really comes through. The quality and engineering of this clever single-to-double stroller is simply outstanding.

The Bugaboo Donkey isn’t the right stroller for everyone, and obviously it isn’t cheap (you have to pay for this kind of quality). But if you’re expecting your first, your second, twins, or even your third, fourth, or fifth child, it’s a stroller that you should consider.

One frequent objection to the Bugaboo Donkey is that it doesn’t fold small enough to fit in a regular-sized trunk or a smaller car. But that’s not actually true! Our friend Jamie, the BabyGuyNYC, taught me a method to make the folded Bugaboo Donkey much more compact. It’s easy if you know how – watch this video and see!

What do you think? Does this change your position on the Bugaboo Donkey? What’s your favorite double stroller? Leave a comment below and tell us about it!
