UPPAbaby Vista 2015, New G-Link Double Stroller, and more new UPPAbaby from the ABC Kids Expo!

AND ANOTHER UPDATE: Pre-order pages are up! Order your UPPAbaby 2015 strollers TODAY! Just check out the descriptions below for the links. (Aren’t you excited? We are very excited.)

UPDATES FROM THE ABC SHOW FLOOR! Eli demos the 2015 UPPAbaby Vista Stroller, and we get a quick overview of the new 2015 UPPAbaby Cruz:

Long before the ABC Kids Expo in Vegas (happening right now!), we knew that the most exciting updates for 2015 would be coming from UPPAbaby, with new features on all of their strollers and some very mysterious and wonderful new changes on the famous and well-loved UPPAbaby Vista Stroller. We haven’t had a chance to eyeball them yet, but with press materials in hand, we finally know what some of these cool updates are. Can I get a drumroll?

  • The 2015 UPPAbaby Vista Stroller: The new Vista features more changes than any other UPPA stroller this year, but don’t worry, Vista fans – all of these changes on your favorite stroller are very, very good. The biggest change is the seating options: your Vista stroller will now be able to hold TWO toddler seats, TWO MESA infant car seats, TWO bassinets, and many other seating configurations! I haven’t personally seen it yet, but this brings to mind another favorite stroller with flexible seating options: the Baby Jogger City Select. Eli will be giving us a head-to-head comparison of the two strollers later, hopefully today, so watch this space!

The new Vista also has an intuitive one-step fold, similar to the UPPAbaby Cruz, which we think you’ll love – I, personally, was never quite able to figure out the Vista’s fold, and can’t wait to get my hands on this new one tomorrow at the show. The bassinet also has increased ventilation and easier-to-remove fabrics (‘cause babies make messes!), and the new frame adds magnesium to the aluminum, for a Vista that’s stronger than ever!

  • The NEW UPPAbaby G-Link Double Umbrella Stroller: Strolling with two, but unwilling to deal with a gigantic double? The G-Link is the double version of UPPA’s light but fully-featured G-Luxe, weighing in at about 20 pounds, with comfy seats, a tough frame, high-performance wheels, a standing fold, and more. The side-by-side seats recline independently, and have a flat recline so the smallest babies can ride!
  • The UPPAbaby 2015 Legacy Stroller is nearly identical to the 2014 Vista, with two changes: it doesn’t come with a stroller bassinet (perfect for families that don’t plan on using one), and it can carry the MESA infant car seat without adapters!
  • Speaking of the MESA: it seems likely that the 2015 MESA Infant Car Seat will feature more changes that we haven’t heard about, but we do know that the MESA was given a five-star rating for ease-of-use by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). And as we’ve repeated many times: the easier it is to install your car seat correctly, and the easier it is to get your child properly strapped in, the safer she is. Congrats to UPPA on this honor!
  • Other changes: the 2015 UPPAbaby Cruz stroller now has 8.25” AirGo rear wheels, which mimic the feel of an air-filled tire, but never go flat. The 2015 G-Luxe Umbrella Stroller has a new robust profile and a one-action brake, and the 2015 UPPAbaby G-lite Stroller has replaced its seat entirely with a mesh sling for superior breathability.

Since there’s a time difference between here and Vegas, we don’t have pictures of these new items from the show floor just yet, but I’ll be updating this blog and posting more all day long, so FOLLOW THIS BLOG!

  1. thanks for giving us this information so soon I’ve been waiting for this for months and you guys are the first to post anything so far! 🙂

  2. You’re welcome! We also just posted a video, and a video of the new Cruz is on its way as well. We’re so excited about these UPPA updates!

  3. just saw it! geez you guys are on top of this! really loving all the new updates, can’t wait for more! do you know when it will be available for purchase and are they going to up the price?

  4. When will the swatch colors be available (mainly marine blue and indigo). Want to pre-order ASAP! Thanks for being so quick!

  5. Cant wait for more info! Do you know if the new second seat works on older vistas? Soo many updates!!

  6. I want to hear more about the updated umbrella strollers!! Thanks for the info. 🙂

  7. Oh I am sooooo excited about this! Thank you for the quick info… I was counting down the hours til it was revealed! I am pregnant with my second, so I am going to be purchasing this vista. You mentioned something about the pre-order now available, but I didn’t see where that was.

  8. So glad you’re excited Jacquelynn! You can pre-order the 2015 Vista at

  9. Thanks for all the first hand updates!! Looking forward to but the Uppababy Cruz!

  10. I am sorry to see that Uppababy has essentially downgraded the g-lite. We love the padded seat and back. It also has the nice mesh back. I’m always disappointed when companies take away features I love to save a dew extra dollars for the bottom line.

  11. Do you know when/if the 2015 Mesa is coming out?

  12. Hello, will the 2015 Mesa car seat be compatible with the 2015 Cruz? I was told nothing pre 2015 will fit on the new line. No accessories or anything. I don’t see a preorder page for the Mesa though.

  13. Everything should be compatible both ways – 2015 to 2014, and so on. We’re not taking preorders on the 2015 mesa yet, but you can sign up for the list for updates here:

  14. I’m pissed that they didn’t think to retrofit the rumble seats to older models what a huge miss in terms of customer retention. As a marketer myself this is a huge mistake on uppababy’s part, a sure way to lose customers and financial suicide. Hope to see this change as the new model rolls out.

  15. We feel your pain. We had a conversation about this with our UPPAbaby rep about this exact problem. The new Vista may appear to be very similar to the older version, but there have actually been a number of engineering changes and improvements in order to make it take the 2nd seat and still have a smooth ride. At this point, UPPAbaby is not planning to make any changes to the new RumbleSeat to make it work with older Vistas unfortunately. We can’t impact UPPAbaby’s decision, but you should definitely let them know your feelings!

  16. Do you know if you can use the 2014 Vista car seat adapters with the new 2015 Vista? I heard the 2015 Vista doesn’t have car seat adapters yet…really want to start using this stroller with new baby in January!

  17. Juleene – are you going to be using a MESA or another brand’s car seat? The MESA will go on the new Vista without adapters. I’m waiting for an answer on other car seat adapters.

  18. Juleene: an update: yes, adapters will be available, but no, the old ones won’t work. Again, if you’re using the MESA, though, it will fit on without adapters.
