We’re hooked!
Posted by Sheri Share this post by email

This is one of the most oft-requested products we’ve never been able to find. Parents are dying to find a way to hook bags onto their strollers. On a Maclaren, or other two-handled model, it’s easy. But on any stroller with a single bar, it’s impossible. There are a couple of options out there, but nothing that seemed heavy-duty enough to really take much abuse. Then, we discovered The Mommy Hook at the JPMA show.

This extra-large caribiner clip is made of aluminum and will not break. The downside to such strength is possibly a safety consideration. If the clip will sustain heavy loads, parents need to be very careful not to overload the clip and tip the stroller. In general, attaching anything to the handlebars of your stroller is a risk, but from a practical standpoint, most parents are willing to assume the risk in order to save their backs. That set of wheels is just too convenient to overlook when you’re laden with stuff. Always make sure to remove whatever is hanging before unloading your child, or the stroller will absolutely tip over.

So with the safety warning taken care of, I will say that this is a very smart solution to a problem that has plagued parents for a long time. The weight capacity of each clip is 75 lbs, which is probably more than you’d ever need. We will be evaluating them, and then hopefully making them available to all our customers. If you’re interested in testing one out, please let me know.

i’d definitely be interested in testing these, if you are still looking for testers. If you’ve already tested them, what did you think!?

I’m very interested in testing one of those, I have a 2006 mountain buggy urban single if that helps, and am located in MA.
