Sheri and Isaac go to Red Castle
Categories: Baby, Baby Carriers, Kind + Jugend 2006, News and Information, Strollers, Travels & Trade Shows
Although we have not yet decided to carry the Red Castle strollers that will be available in the US, we were curious to check out their booth. Inside, we found some gorgeous stroller and car seat covers that will be very nice in the winter. We also met the Red Castle baby carrier, which is… read more!

Emmawho?

At the Emmaljunga booth, we discovered that even this venerable pram manufacturer has jumped onto the hybrid bandwagon, with a chassis that features the asymmetrical wheel configuration. It has quite a nice feel, actually. I’ve never seen a new Emmaljunga, since they are no longer available in the US, but I’ve heard that they’re very… read more!

Hauck: the sound of music
Categories: Baby, Kind + Jugend 2006, News and Information, Strollers, Travels & Trade Shows
Upon arriving at the show, our first stop was the Hauck booth. We were drawn in partly by the shiny rows of strollers, partly by the long entryway into the booth that was lined with cartons of gleaming green apples and partly by the amazing bar that took up about half of their exhibit space…. read more!

Sweet Cologne
Categories: Kind + Jugend 2006, Travels & Trade Shows
After arriving on Friday morning and checking into our hotel, Isaac and I took the subway over to the Koelnmesse, (aka convention center). Not surprisingly, the Koelnmesse is an impressive place. It is enormous and the entry areas have stark white interiors and soaring ceilings. Unlike the shows I’ve seen in the US, we do… read more!

Kind + Jugend Day One
Categories: Kind + Jugend 2006, Travels & Trade Shows
We arrived in Cologne this morning after an exhausting red-eye flight from Newark, NJ. We checked into our hotel and then high-tailed it to the show, where we were dazzled by the structural complexity of each booth, the array of products on display, and the alchohol that was being dispersed to those in attendence. Let’s… read more!
