New Techno Rocks

The new Maclaren Techno XLR is here. This is probably the most anticipated new stroller of the year. Why? Because Maclaren has taken their enormously popular Techno model and turned into a travel system. This Techno comes with a car seat adaptor that is almost identical to the one on the Easy Traveler, and can accommodate a variety of infant ... Read More »

Smaller, Lighter, Micralite

In the emerging hybrid category, no stroller has been able to offer the versatility and handling typical of the hybrids while still keeping the weight down under 17 lbs. Now, the arrival of the Micralite will change that. The Micralite is a popular stroller brand in the UK, and now it is going to be distributed here by Eurobaby. It’s ... Read More »

A Techno for all seasons

Maclaren is introducing the new Techno XLR model stroller. This is the ultimate Techno – all the best features of the Maclaren flagship model, AND it takes many infant car seat models, too. It’s crazy late and I’m falling asleep as I type. Plus, the pictures I took of the XLR didn’t come out too well. I will give more ... Read More »

Orbit update

I had a chance to stop by the Orbit booth and check out the newest product developments from their team. As usual, I was impressed. They showed a fantastic stroller seat that fits onto the Orbit frame. It’s a roomy, fully-featured seat with a generous hood and a very plush, comfortable seat. The stroller has a reversible seat pad; one ... Read More »

Two popular and sought-after Dutch stroller brands will both be making their American debut in the coming months. The Mutsy is a line of high-end strollers with several parent-friendly features. The 4Rider looks a bit like the bugaboo. It includes a stroller seat and a bassinet, and the handling is quite nice. There are two versions, one more lightweight with ... Read More »

The Summertime Baby (Bjorn) Blues

It’s summer, which is mostly good news. But if you’re toting around a newborn in a Baby Bjorn, chances are you’re driving yourself nuts about the sun. Infants younger than 6 months are not able to wear sunscreen, so keeping little babies from catching too many rays can be maddeningly difficult. Short of staying in the shade all the time, ... Baby Jogger joins the team

After a lot of careful consideration, thoughtful feedback from parents and thorough demonstrations, we decided to add Baby Jogger to our selection of active-lifestyle strollers. The City series is very similar to the Mountain Buggy Urbans and the Valco Runabouts, but they offer a folding mechanism that rivals the Inglesina Zippy for its incredible simplicity. In the crook of the ... Read More »

Graco thinks big

The new SafeSeat from Graco has arrived, and although it’s been a very quiet product launch, this is one of the most important new arrivals of 2006. Until now, parents have generally accepted that they will need a minimum of three car seats to get from infancy through childhood. Even under the new standards, infant car seats can accommodate babies ... Read More »
