Dado Cubes have been an instant hit – and why not? They’re a colorful, open-ended construction toy that are appealing to a wide age range. All that, plus they’re designed and made in the USA. Now fans of the Dado Cubes will be pleased to hear about the newest member of the Dado family – Dado Squares. Each set includes 35 little 3″ plastic squares that use similar interlocking slots to the Dado Cubes, so you can build vibrant three-dimensional structures. I’m looking around to see if the Squares and the Cubes are cross-compatible, but no one mentions it. We have both products at our office, so I’ll try to do some investigating tomorrow. This is one of my picks for the holidays this year. For ages 3+.
A little in-store research led us to find out that the Dado Squares and Dado Cubes are indeed compatible, opening up a whole world of sculptural possibility.
Definitely a great open-ended gift for kids who like anything artistic or constructible (and a great gift as a desk toy for adults as well!
