We get a lot of kids coming through our stores every day, and the toys in our playscapes take a beating. Literally. A toy that might last a lifetime at home will be lucky to survive six months. Rody is one of those toys that can withstand the rigors and rarely (if ever) needs replacing.
This iconic inflated horse is made in Italy of heavy-duty vinyl. It is designed for children between the ages of 2 and 4, but can be used by younger toddlers under close supervision, and can easily handle the weight of curious older children.
There’s a lot to love about Rody, besides its durability. It helps toddlers develop their gross motor skills, teaches stability, and provides a very respectable cardiovascular workout. Rody is also a choice prop for vestibular stimulation among occupational therapists. It’s also really, really fun, something my kids and I set out to demonstrate in this video.
