Changing diapers is not glamorous, but it is an inevitable part of parenthood. Many changing tables add insult to injury by being too low, and they position the baby perpendicular to the person changing the diaper. The Care Changing Table by Stokke considers the needs of the caregiver. Mom, dad, nanny or granny -- no one wants to strain his or her back or go through acrobatics simply to change a diaper.

The Care Changing Table is designed to be functional and comfortable. It is designed to be slightly more compact than the previous Care model. The changing platform is adjustable in height to either 34.7" or 38.6", allowing you to get the job done in a more natural position. The platform's hourglass shape allows you to stand close to your baby, with baby facing you. And, you can stand with your feet under the unit, enabling you to get closer to your child. This not only makes changing easier - it encourages eye contact and interaction between you and your baby. The platform's narrow middle helps keep baby from rolling over easily. (Please remember that you should NEVER leave a baby unattended on this or any changing table.)

The changing pad is made of polyurethane foam and is water repellant. A machine washable changing pad cover is available for the Care. To make sure you always have a clean, fresh cover available, we recommend purchasing at least two covers for convenience. When your child is toilet-trained, you can turn the Care into the perfect preschooler worktable. It looks great paired with a Stokke Tripp Trapp chair or two - one on each side. (Though any chair will work just fine.) Later, you can purchase a conversion kit to transform the Care into a larger desk.

The Care is constructed from solid and laminated beech wood. It carries a seven-year guarantee on all wooden components. It is available in Natural, Cherry, Walnut, Grey and White finishes that coordinate with the Stokke Sleepi Crib and Keep Complete.
