The Sleepi Crib is oval-shaped. Not only is this an elegant, modern design, but one that echoes the womb, thus creating a calming and familiar environment for your baby. Unlike traditional cribs, its sides do not descend. Parents simply reach down over the sides to pick up their baby. It’s easy, safe and comfortable. The mattress platform adjusts to four height positions. Like other cribs, you begin with the highest position and lower it as your baby grows and matures. The Sleepi is set on lockable wheels, allowing parents to gently rock the crib to help soothe their baby. Also, because the Sleepi is narrower than a standard crib, it fits through most doorways, so it can be wheeled easily from room to room.

The Sleepi Crib, like all Sleepi System pieces, is constructed from beautiful, environmentally friendly cultivated beech wood.

A Great Crib to Grow

I have two of these cribs at my house (and two at my in-laws) and we love them. The 4 adjustable heights made this a great crib that truly grew WITH our kids. We have it on the lowest crib setting for my 18m old son and we recently took the side off the other crib to make it a toddler bed for my 3 year old daughter. We started both kids in the "mini" bassinet configuration which was perfect for wheeling from room to room with an infant.

The oval shape makes it very cozy (while still being quite roomy). My daughter talks about how it feels very "nest like." The lack of sharp corners also makes it feel very kid-safe in a nursery/bedroom.

There aren't as many options other than Stokke and Dwell for sheets/bumpers/etc. (there are a few others), but as a mom of 2 - soon to be 3 - they come in white which is by far the best, most versitile, easiest to clean and most important color. The Stokke sheets are soft, well made, and washer/dryer friendly.

We will definitely be buying a 3rd Sleepi when our next child is born.
