about the Uglydoll 14" Icebat

Ice-Bat lives in an Ice Cave inside an icebox. Anything he touches turns to Ice... yet he warms your heart! Ice-Bat is lookin’ to chill with you. He wants to sit next to your computer which is also (frozen) and hang out. Ice-Bat wants to go with you. Why? He thinks you are cool. Ice-Bat wants to hang around with you...and he would like to hang upside-down too if you have the space.

The Uglydoll line all started with a love letter and an orange monster in an apron. When artist Sun-Min-Kim returned to Korea after graduating from Parsons School of Design, her classmate and boyfriend David Horvath set to sending her little "I miss you cards." On the bottom of these letters, the now-famous Wage character was drawn. In return, crafty Sun-Min-Kim created a plush version of Wage for David as a Christmas present. Confronted with his sketch in plush 3D, David fell further in love with both Sun-Min-Kim and this endearing monster. The letters kept being exchanged, and the plush kept getting sewn.

Well, everything worked out quite nicely. After the impressive response to Wage's stuffed counterpart, David and Sun-Min have been busily dreaming up wild, new monsters to add to the Uglydoll family. Besides creating at least six new Uglydolls each year, they are now happily working on illustrations for kids' books. To make the ending even happier, they are married and have, as they call it, "little uglies of our own."
