Peaco is very shy. Well... shy on the outside. On the inside, Peaco is a wild man! You can see it in his eyes. All three. Peaco really shines when he’s doing what he does best. DANCING! Peaco loves to dance in the water...much to the dread of his cousin Cinko. Why dance in the water? Well, think about it! When you dance in the water, no one can see you! SHY! Remember? It’s kind of a pain explaining water dancing to lifeguards though. Please dance with Peaco. He’s seen your moves! (So don’t step on his ears.)
The Uglydoll line all started with a love letter and an orange monster in an apron. When artist Sun-Min-Kim returned to Korea after graduating from Parsons School of Design, her classmate and boyfriend David Horvath set to sending her little "I miss you cards." On the bottom of these letters, the now-famous Wage character was drawn. In return, crafty Sun-Min-Kim created a plush version of Wage for David as a Christmas present. Confronted with his sketch in plush 3D, David fell further in love with both Sun-Min-Kim and this endearing monster. The letters kept being exchanged, and the plush kept getting sewn.
Well, everything worked out quite nicely. After the impressive response to Wage's stuffed counterpart, David and Sun-Min have been busily dreaming up wild, new monsters to add to the Uglydoll family. Besides creating at least six new Uglydolls each year, they are now happily working on illustrations for kids' books. To make the ending even happier, they are married and have, as they call it, "little uglies of our own."
