Pros:

uses imagination, easy to play with,

Cons:

it may not be appropriate to give a stick to some children

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my 5 year old niece, who loves to dance and move. Out of all the gifts at Christmas, she played with this the most, dancing and flowing with it. Even my boys joined in and they wanted turns, too. For a simple thing, it is awesome.
