About the UPPAbaby Vista Stroller 2012

Just north of San Diego, California, there’s a town called Vista, which boasts a mild Mediterranean climate, with an average of 340 sunny days a year. There’s a farmer’s market, a water park, rolling hills, and blue skies. It was rated the seventh-best place to raise your kids in 2008. It’s a pleasant place to be; not too hot, not too cold, but just right.

This mellow California attitude transplants surprisingly well to our neighborhood in Boston, where the sidewalks teem with UPPAbaby Vista strollers. The UPPAbaby company is right here in blustery New England, but the UPPAbaby Vista is an everywhere/anytime stroller that puts some sunshine in your stride, no matter where you live.

The 2012 UPPAbaby Vista Stroller has all of the mom-friendly, kid-friendly features of past models, with some nice tweaks that make it even better. Here’s a quick overview of the changes:

  • Full recline: The UPPAbaby Vista stroller seat now boasts a full recline, making it suitable for newborns! There are now five total positions, including a fully upright position for toddlers.
  • Breezy bassinet: The 2012 UPPAbaby Vista bassinet has new and improved ventilation, with an extra-breathable mattress and vents in the bottom of the bassinet frame. If it’s chilly, you can close a flap to cut the wind out. And the bassinet canopy can be unzipped to reveal a mesh “breezy canopy.”
  • Fashion-forward: The 2012 color selection includes options with a sleek and stylish black graphite frame. Check out the Jake option, black on black, or the eye-popping Drew, with tangerine orange on black.
  • Canopy: The toddler seat canopy is now height-adjustable, sliding up and down the stroller frame, and the peek-a-boo window on the canopy now closes with magnets, so you can check on your sleepy kid without making a sound.
  • The front wheel suspension has been tweaked for better performance, and there are oodles of new accessories, including the Parent Organizer, the new Cupholder, and Stroller Blankie.

Of course, the 2012 UPPAbaby Vista stroller still has the modern style and ease of use that makes it a customer favorite. It still boasts:

  • Smooth sailing: The Vista stroller’s fat all-terrain tires (filled with never-flat foam), sealed wheel bearings, and four-wheel suspension ensure a smooth ride that babies love, whether you’re strolling on sidewalks or trails. Luxurious padding and five recline positions make the Vista a fabulous ride for your child from infancy up to 50 pounds.
  • Easy for you, too: An adjustable-height handlebar makes strolling easy for taller and shorter parents, and the UPPAbaby Vista has a HUGE under-seat basket that’s easy to access. Finally, you can fold your Vista stroller with one hand, with the toddler seat on or off.
  • Versatile use: The UPPAbaby Vista stroller seat can face you or face the world, and can accommodate car seat adapters, but that’s not all – when you add to your family, you can add to your Vista. Pop on the UPPAbaby Rumble Seat to double your fun (and your stroller), and/or an UPPAbaby Piggyback Ride-On Board, for triple trouble.
  • All in one: The UPPAbaby Vista Stroller comes packaged with plenty of accessories, including a bassinet that’s so cozy that families use it everywhere, not just while strolling. The bassinet has a carrying handle, an apron, and a sun/bug shield. And the Vista stroller is also packaged with a convenient weather shield and a sun/bug shield that work with the toddler seat.
  • Safety: The UPPAbaby Vista stroller’s frame isn’t just pretty – it’s also supremely strong, made of welded and formed aircraft aluminum. And all of the fabrics on this stroller are made with organic cotton and soybean fibers. The canopy has SPF 50+ sun protection, and a pop-out extension for even more coverage.

Just like the weather in Vista, California, there isn’t a single thing about the 2012 UPPAbaby Vista stroller that isn’t comfortable, easy, pretty, and nice. We see sunny skies in your future!

MAGIC BEANS STAFF TIP: You can fold the UPPAbaby Vista Stroller with the stroller seat on, and if the brake is unlocked, you can pull the stroller like a dolly, which makes it so much easier to get up the front steps of your brownstone apartment!

Pros:

Comfortable, Easy To Steer, Lightweight, Durable, Easy To Set Up

This is a well-designed and sleek stroller that can work as a double. Most of the double strollers on the market each have problems, and this is no exception. It does not provide two super-comfortable seats as a double but two okay seats. However, the bassinet features and the single seat are wonderfully comfortable and at a good height. Easy to maneuver and easy to change seats on. For these reasons, we'd definitel recommend it.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
