My kid hates being in the car seat. What do I do?

Summer Infant Cushy Car Seat Strap Covers While it's hard to know exactly what's causing the problem (especially with little ones who can't talk yet), here are some possibly solutions:

  • Adjust the straps and the angle of the seat.
  • Add some padding! The JJ Cole Infant Body Support and other similar positioners can make your baby feel much more cozy and secure.
  • Get a new car seat – yes, this may sound extreme, but think about how much time your child spends in the seat!
  • There are plenty of toys that you can attach to your car seat to keep your baby distracted and amused; mirrors also are great for keeping babies entertained, and any mirror that lets you see your rear-facing baby will also let them see you, which will reassure them.
