Spring 2018 Drool Baby Expo was an incredible night of pampering, learning, deals, and LOTS of baby gear. This wasn’t our first rodeo—it was our 11th to be exact—but the positive energy and excitement from both parents and vendors will always blow us away. And in honor of our early preparations for Fall Drool, we wanted to reminisce a bit. If you didn’t join us in the Spring, you won’t want to miss Fall Drool Baby Expo on October 25th. We’ll be back at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel in Seaport!

When you’re expecting during an age of information overload, shopping for baby gear can be tough. Everything claims to be the best and the easiest, but the truth is, there is no perfect stroller or car seat. But chances are there’s a product that’s perfect for you and your family. Drool is the place to learn about as many (or as few) products as you want. You’ll speak with manufacturers and brands like Nuna, Bugaboo, UPPAbaby, Stokke, and so many more, and you’ll leave knowing exactly what you’ll need as you prepare for baby. And if you’re ready to make a decision, you can purchase all of your gear that night! Many vendors come equipped with special deals and promotions that are exclusive to Drool.

Oh, and you’ll have fun! While baby gear brands and local family resources join us for Drool, some vendors are just there to pamper you. Glamsquad Boston offered dry styling and makeup touch-ups for our fabulous Spring Drool attendees. Milkmakers held a Pop-Up Bar with tons of treats like milkshake shooters garnished with their delicious lactation cookies. And attendees with a gift bag ticket (VIP & Premium) left Drool with an overflowing bag filled with goodies and helpful products for parents and baby. Some crowd pleasers were the classic Aden + Anais swaddles, the Skip Hop Wet/Dry Bag, and the Diono Buggy Tech Tote. All VIP tickets include $25 to spend at Magic Beans too!

Ah, the raffle—this one was our best yet. Spring Drool Baby Expo featured more than 30 raffle prizes that totaled to over $10,000! Prizes ranged from big-ticket items like the Bumbleride Speed Stroller and the Britax Boulevard Convertible Car Seat to toy prize packs, classes for new parents, and newborn photography sessions.

We also had our first-ever product reveal at Spring Drool. Our friends at Britax unveiled their Nanotex line of car seats and strollers featuring stain-resistant fabric—watch it here! And though that was our only “reveal”, we had plenty of brand new products make their Boston debut at Spring Drool Baby Expo. Our attendees got to play with the Bugaboo Fox Stroller, UPPAbaby Minu Stroller, and the Nuna Demi Grow for the very first time. That definitely earned them tons of bragging rights with their stroller-loving friends.

Our Magic Beans Pop-Up Shop at Drool (shown above and below) was filled with deals on some of our favorite brands. Our Pop-Up shop is where you grab all of the smaller stuff—items you can take home that night. You’ll find toys, apparel, carriers, nursing accessories, and more with discounts exclusive to Drool. But you can still can buy strollers, car seats, furniture, and more on the night of Drool. Magic Beans will ship these large items to you free of charge, or better yet, come pick them up in one of our stores and we’ll assemble everything for you.

Though we’re obsessed with strollers, car seats, and baby gear, we know that’s just the beginning when it comes to prepping for baby. Drool invites the very best local services for families in Boston that help you navigate parenthood. You’ll meet with doulas, lactation and maternity consultants, and childcare services all in one place. Talk about a one stop shop.
