A tower of Babal
What’s so fun about a little foam ball embedded in a bigger foam ball? Wait and see. From the designer who created the popular Bilibo, Babal is another abstract toy concept, designed to stretch little imaginations and redefine the boundaries of play.
Alex Hochstrasser is a Swiss designer who did extensive research into children’s playtime behavior. He was most inspired by their creative interactions with found objects, and his subsequent designs are meant to spark similarly spontaneous encounters. Babal can be stacked, thrown, mixed, matched… the possibilities are pretty endless. One is fun, but more is merrier. Don’t just take my word for it – check out the Quicktime movie on the company’s website, www.activepeople.com.
