Best Lightweight Travel Strollers of 2019 | Ratings, Reviews, Comparisons | Babyzen, UPPAbaby, Maclaren
Vacation season is upon us, and with it comes the need for a durable, dependable, and easy-to-use travel stroller. Seems like some pretty easy criteria to fill, right? You’d be surprised! With the number of travel strollers on the market, it can be difficult to find the best of the best for your family. That’s why we created our Stroller Buying Guide and compiled a list of 2019’s best Lightweight Travel Strollers. Read on to discover which strollers made our “Best Of” list, and how they’ll make your travel plans just a little bit smoother.
BABYZEN YOYO+
The first stroller that I want to talk about is the Babyzen YoYo+, a.k.a the smallest stroller on our “Best Of” list. The Babyzen YoYo+ can easily fit into an airplane overhead compartment; impressive, right? Of course, its small size isn’t the only reason we love the Babyzen YoYo+. We’re also obsessed with Babyzen’s promise to use only high quality textiles and frame materials, a commitment that makes the Babyzen YoYo+ a stroller that’ll last. That longevity is extends even further with the various adaptors and add-ons that you can purchase in order to convert the Babyzen YoYo+ into a newborn stroller, allowing your tot to rest comfortably no matter their age or stature. Plus, the Babyzen YoYo+ has a great over-the-shoulder carrying strap that makes non-strolling transportation an absolute breeze!
UPPABABY MINU
Next up? A stroller local to Boston, the UPPAbaby Minu! Though the UPPAbaby Minu is slightly larger than the Babyzen YoYo+, this hometown favorite still fits into many airplane overhead compartments. What makes this trade-off worth it? More fun features! The less compact frame of the UPPAbaby Minu allows for more design features, including an extended sun visor and a frame that can, with the proper adaptors, be fit with either the UPPAbaby Mesa or the Nuna Pipa car seats. It can also adapt to allow safe strolling with newborns; without the newborn adaptors, the UPPAbaby Minu seats any child 6+ months.
MACLAREN QUEST ARC
Last (but certainly not least!) we have the Maclaren Quest Arc, which features a new design for 2019. Clocking in a 13.6 lbs, the Maclaren Quest Arc is the largest of the three strollers listed here. Its real strength lies in its ability to safely accommodate both newborns and toddlers, no adaptors necessary! Designed as an umbrella stroller, the Maclaren Quest Arc is perfect for anyone looking for a stroller that is long-lasting and can fit in a car trunk rather than an airplane overhead bin.
