Best Toys for Kids 2010
This Saturday, Nov. 13, is ASTRA’s (American Specialty Toy Retailing Association) first ever Neighborhood Toy Store Day. As a local toy store, we’re so excited to be a part of this celebration.
With the economic ups and downs of the last decade, neighborhood toy stores have become something of an endangered species. But many of the ones that remain are so exceptional. If you have a locally-owned toy store in your community, come out this weekend and show your support, whether it’s here at Magic Beans or anyplace else.
As we thought about what we wanted to do to recognize this special day, we considered the thing that makes us proudest to be a community store – generosity. We’re inviting our customers to donate new or gently used toys for local charities. To say thank you for your contributions we’re giving 10% off all of our toys.
Over 500 of America’s top independent and neighborhood toy retailers are part of ASTRA. Every year all ASTRA members draw on their expertise, experience, and commitment to fulfilling play in order to hand-pick the most engaging, unique, open-ended, fun and safe toys for your children.
