Bugaboo Bee6 vs. UPPAbaby Cruz V2 | Stroller Comparison
The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 and Bugaboo Bee6 may be on your radar if you’ve been searching for a high quality single stroller for your family. Both UPPAbaby and Bugaboo are well-known and well-trusted baby gear brands committed to helping you provide your baby with the best start in life. Made with high quality and baby-safe materials and featuring premium functions that make your life easier, both strollers are great options for families who want a high performance single stroller that will be reliable and convenient. So what makes one better than the other?
Well, that depends on your family’s lifestyle and what features are most important to you personally. One stroller isn’t inherently better than the other, they just fulfill different needs. While it may be very important to your family that your stroller folds small, another family may put more importance on the stroller’s basket capacity. That being said, the UPPAbaby Cruz V2 and Bugaboo Bee6 do share several features so we’ll break down what they have in common before covering how they differ.
What Features do the UPPAbaby Cruz V2 and Bugaboo Bee6 Share?
The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 and Bugaboo Bee6 are both single strollers, so they can only hold one child at a time unless you purchase the UPPAbaby PiggyBack for Cruz V2 or Bugaboo Comfort Wheeled Board+ which allows a second child to ride along on the back of the stroller. Both toddler seats are reversible and reclinable so you can have your child either parent-facing or world-facing for better bonding time when they’re young and more interactive and engaging strolls as they grow older.
Both strollers have extendable sun canopies with UPF 50+ protection and ventilation for cool and comfortable strolling in all weather conditions. All wheel suspension systems keep both strollers rolling smoothly even on bumpy roads. The strollers are equipped with puncture proof wheels so you don’t have to worry about getting a flat tire while you’re strolling with your family.
The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 and Bugaboo Bee6 have telescopic adjustable handlebars so parents and caregivers of different heights can push the baby comfortably and ergonomically. They also have leatherette (or in the UPPAbaby Cruz V2’s case REACH certified leather) grips for a luxurious feel and classy look. Both strollers have the option to be stored either freestanding or in your trunk.
While both strollers are sold without bassinets, the UPPAbaby Bassinet V2 and Bugaboo Bee6 Bassinet are available for purchase separately to give your baby a more enclosed place to lay. The UPPAbaby Bassinet V2 is also overnight sleep safe when used with the UPPAbaby Bassinet Stand.
UPPAbaby Cruz V2
The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 is a great option for suburban families or city-dwellers who prioritize a large stroller basket over compact size. It features larger wheels and a significantly larger and more accessible storage basket. The toddler seat is suitable for babies starting at three months old, unless fully reclined AND used in conjunction with the UPPAbaby SnugSeat. Using the UPPAbaby SnugSeat, the stroller is suitable for use from birth.
The storage basket is the real star of the show for UPPAbaby. It is extra large, open, and accessible so you can easily get your items in and out when needed. Parents love that the basket can hold a large diaper bag with extra room for anything you pick up on the way. With a weight capacity of 30 pounds, you don’t need to worry that you’ll overload the stroller.
Bugaboo Bee6
The Bugaboo Bee6 is the perfect city stroller. Compact in size but featuring an expandable seat and backrest, it is nimble enough to maneuver in tight spaces and crowded sidewalks but roomy for your growing child.
The lightweight frame makes it easy to bring the stroller with you on public transportation and folds small enough to not be in the way. Unlike the UPPAbaby Cruz V2, the Bugaboo Bee6 can be opened and closed with just one hand making it easier to operate while keeping a hold on your child.
Unlike the UPPAbaby Cruz V2, the Bugaboo Bee6 has an infant safe lie-flat recline so you can use the stroller immediately from birth without needing an insert to fill in the seat contours. Instead, it is recommended to use the Bugaboo Cocoon to use the Bugaboo Bee6 with newborns.
