Day 3, a brush with greatness

I’ve had a TiVo for longer than almost anyone I know. Seriously. I think I got my first one in 2000. Each week I use it to capture our favorite shows so we can watch them here and there late at night. Sometimes my husband and I have different tastes when it comes to selection. He likes 24. I like Survivor. But occasionally we find a show we both really enjoy. For the past two years, we’ve looked forward to watching Desperate Housewives together each week. And our favorite character is Lynette, played by Felicity Huffman.

Imagine how completely starstruck we were to actually meet her today. It was very unexpected, but an absolute highlight of my week. She was walking around the show with one of our favorite vendors who is collaborating with her on a very hush-hush project. I don’t have any details on what this is or when I’ll know more, but I do know that my husband and I got to meet one of our very favorite television actresses, and I even had the presence of mind to give her a business card.
Now I’m off to bed, hopefully to write more in the early morning. I’m falling asleep at the keyboard and that’s never a good thing.
