Foogo be doo wop wop
There are a lot of insulated sippy cups out there, but if you’ve ever tried them, you’ve discovered that they don’t actually keep drinks cold. This inadequacy did not escape the experts at Thermos, the folks who live and die by beverage insulation. So they built a better sippy cup. The new Foogo cup from Thermos is leak proof, durable, great looking and proven to keep beverages cold for up to 6 hours.
In fact, the Foogo was evaluated as part of a study at Cornell University that timed how long it took for cold liquid (40 degrees) to reach room temperature (70 degrees) in insulated containers. The Foogo took more than 16 hours, four and a half times longer than the nearest competitor.
Icky fact: the milk in the competitors cups had up to 5,000 times as much bacteria as the milk in the Foogo cup.
Back to the cup. It holds 7 oz of liquid. The exterior is unbreakable stainless steel, it’s dishwasher safe, it has a nice soft tip and a rubberized no-slip base. It’s really a fantastic design. Sippy cups are definitely a more mundane product category, but I’ve got to give credit where it’s due – Thermos has done a heck of a job with the Foogo cup, and there are more Foogo products in the works. Now maybe someone can explain what’s up with the name?
