Mattel recall expanded, the drama builds
Mattel has recalled another 9 million toys, and the owner of the factory in China responsible for the lead paint recall has committed suicide. One die-cast licensed Cars toy was found to have dangerous levels of lead paint, but the majority of the toys in this recall are actually magnetic toys. The tiny magnets may inadvertently release from the toys, causing a major hazard if swallowed. There are so many things wrong with this whole story, I don’t know where to begin. So I’ll just give the information for now.
This time, some of the affected toys are items we carry, so I will urge our customers to look through the list very carefully, particularly the Polly Pocket items.

Every day, as parents we worry about our kids. It’s so frustrating that we have to add toys to the list of potential dangers.
