Nuna Demi Grow 2018 vs Nuna Mixx2 Stroller 2018

Nuna Demi Grow 2018 vs Nuna Mixx2 Stroller 2018

The Nuna Demi Grow 2018 vs Nuna Mixx2 Stroller!

To us, a brand new stroller is crazy exciting. But we know that for you, a new stroller often means another beautiful option to be torn over. That’s why we try to be as helpful as we can by comparing a new model with other models you were probably already considering. So for all the Nuna fans out there, let’s compare the Nuna Demi Grow Stroller to the Nuna Mixx2 Stroller.

The Demi Grow is Nuna’s brand new single-to-double stroller, and we’re more than psyched about it. But if you’re considering both the Nuna Demi Grow and The Nuna Mixx2, you’re likely looking for a single. So for all intents and purposes, we’ll compare the Demi Grow as a single stroller and the Nuna Mixx, which does not convert to a double stroller.

You’ll be able to use both of these strollers with your newborn. Both strollers include adapters that are compatible with all Nuna Pipa series infant car seats (the Demi Grow includes 2 sets of adapters!), so they’re travel system ready. Bassinets are sold as an extra accessory for both the Mixx2 and the Demi Grow, but there are ways for your teeny newborn to lay flat in both seats. The seat on the Mixx2 reclines completely flat, while the Demi Grow’s seat does not. BUT, we tried out an UPPAbaby SnugSeat on the Demi Grow, and it worked pretty well.

Speaking of seats, we love the fabrics on the Demi Grow’s. The padding is warm and cozy, but it’s removable to reveal breathable mesh! If you’re a second-time parent, you already know how hot and sweaty a stroller seat can get. This will increase airflow during muggy summer days. The seat on the Nuna Mixx2 is also comfy, but it doesn’t have this function.

Both the Nuna Demi Grow and the Mixx2 have extendable UPF50+ canopies, but the Demi Grow has a surprise–a DreamDrape! A feature on the Nuna Pipa and Pipa Lite LX, the DreamDrape completely covers baby for a dark and cozy environment that helps them drift off into nap time.

We’ve always been fans of high stroller seats. The closer you are to your baby, the more you can talk and bond with them on your walks. And that’s one of our favorite features on the Nuna Demi Grow–the seat is 8 inches higher than the seat on the Mixx2! You and baby can babble away.

If you aren’t familiar with the fold on the Nuna Mixx2, it’s pretty clever. Once it’s folded, the Mixx2 can be wheeled around like a suitcase. The Demi Grow doesn’t share this feature, but it does stand when folded, which might benefit you depending on your storage method. The Mixx2 is a bit more trunk friendly, as its fold is flatter and smaller. Check them out side by side in our YouTube video above!

The Nuna Demi Grow starts at $799, while the Mixx2 starts at $599. All in all, if the extra $200 is in your budget, you should really consider the Demi Grow. The extra features, like double stroller capability and a higher seat with updated fabrics, totally make it worth your while. Still torn? No worries.
