See Vanessa Trien at the Kids Really Rock Festival tomorrow!
Our friend Vanessa Trien is back for another awesome FREE show, and it’s all for a very good cause!
The KIDS REALLY ROCK FESTIVAL
A Book & Bib Drive for Room To Grow
11am-6pm, Saturday September 26
At The Lawn on D, 420 D Street, Boston
Oodles of other family faves will be performing as well: The Pop Ups, the Alphabet Rockers, Karen K & The Jitterbugs, Ben Rudnick & Friends, Alastair Moock & Friends, and more! As you can see in this video, there’s plenty of interactive fun to be had:
This festival is also a great opportunity to teach your kids the value of generosity: the event is happening to provide necessary items for Room to Grow, a local nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of babies born into poverty through their third year. All attendees are asked to bring a board book or a bib for a child in need to enjoy! (Our Cambridge, Norwell, and Wellesley stores are also dropoff locations for Room To Grow; you can see what items they need as donations here.)
In addition to song and dance, the Kids Really Rock fest will have plenty of activities for children, focusing on kindness, community, and creativity – kids can decorate bibs, make books with Kidcasso Art Studio, visit Uncle Devin’s Percussion Playground, and hang out with Snoopy, who will be on hand from 11am-3pm. We Art Boston will also be there doing stuffed animal portraits, so make sure your kids bring their favorite plush friends along. (Make sure you pick up a ticket at the We Art Boston station when you arrive!)
If you miss this show, Vanessa will be back soon – she’ll be at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, right next to our store in Brookline, on November 15, and at the Brookline First Light Festival on November 19.
