Stokke High Chair Lineup | High Chair Review

If you’re thinking about starting your little one on solid foods, you’re probably doing a great deal of research on the best high chairs to help you with the transition. You may have come across the Stokke lineup of highchairs and be wondering what the differences are. Well we’re here to help clear that up! We’re here to help you understand the differences between the Stokke Clikk, Stokke Steps, and Stokke Tripp Trapp high chairs.

High Quality Construction

Many high chairs these days are made from cheap plastic and are a complete eyesore in the home. Stokke high chairs however, are made from high quality wood and sturdy plastic that is designed to last and not look out of place with your home’s decor. They are JPMA certified and free from harmful substances and phthalates.

Stokke Clikk

Stokke Clikk

The Stokke Clikk is the newest high chair in the Stokke lineup, and is tailored to families looking for a modern and simplistic design in their high chair. Without tons of unnecessary bells and whistles, this minimalist high chair is lightweight yet durable, easy to clean, and the easiest in the lineup to assemble.

The legs are made from European beech wood and the rest of the seat is a strong plastic that is easy to wipe clean. The legs are easily attachable and detachable for compact storage, travel, and quick setup. The adjustable footrest has two positions to allow you to adjust the chair easily as your child grows. The Stokke Clikk is suitable for babies from 6 months to 3 years old.

While the Stokke Clikk is the least adjustable of the three high chairs, it is also the lightest, most compact, and easiest to use.

Stages of Stokke Steps

Stokke Steps

The Stokke Steps high chair is more adjustable than the Stokke Clikk, offering 5 positions for the footrest and an adjustable backrest for a more custom fit for your child. Adjustments are tool-free for your convenience. It can also be used from newborn with the addition of the Stokke Steps Bouncer attachment. Once your little one can sit on their own they can sit in the high chair using the adjustable 5 point harness. After their high chair years they can continue sitting in the chair until they are up to 187 pounds and use it in a playroom or at a desk.

Stages of Stokke Tripp Trapp

Stokke Tripp Trapp

The Stokke Tripp Trapp is the most popular high chair in the lineup and offers the most adjustments to ensure your child is always sitting ergonomically. With the use of the Stokke Tripp Trapp Newborn Set, the high chair can be used from birth. Once your baby is ready to sit on their own, they can sit at the table with your family using the five point harness and baby set.

The seat and footrest are fully adjustable so that as your baby grows, you can make sure that their feet are always flat on the footrest and their knees are at the proper angle to avoid cutting off circulation and irritating pressure points. The Stokke Tripp Trapp is also suitable for older children and adults up to 300 pounds, so you can keep the sleek Scandanavian chair in their home for longer as a playroom chair or desk chair.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp is also the most customizable high chair in the lineup as far as color options go, with many colors and cushion patterns. You’ll definitely find one to match your home’s decor!

The Stokke Tripp Trapp is the sturdiest high chair as well, made from solid European beech wood and metal. This makes it a great choice for families looking to use the high chair with multiple children or trying to lessen their carbon footprint since the chair has a much longer lifespan and it doesn’t have to be discarded after your child is done using it as a high chair.
