As we already noted in our entry on the best toy stores in America, Galt was one of the major inspirations of Magic Beans: we loved the atmosphere and the selection, and you’ll find a lot of what you love about Magic Beans at Galt.

Not only will Galt staff help you find exactly what you need, but they’ll assemble your stroller for free, and install your car seat for free, too. If you buy your seat elsewhere, you can still use their certified techs – it’ll just cost you $75, which is totally worth it for your child’s safety and your peace of mind! They also offer stroller tuneups and cleaning (which we have also been known to do on occasion).

Kid’s Stuff Superstore – Nebraska 

Plunked out in the center of the country, you’ll find this amazing hidden gem, with a selection that merges boutique and mass-market items to ensure that you can choose from the very best. Founded in 1981 and owned and run by the Francis and Pederson families, they now have three large, well-stocked stores.

And naturally, like any specialty baby store, they’ll go the extra mile to help you out: on Yelp, one mom praised how not only did their salesman give them a very thorough lesson on car seats, but he also checked their baby in her infant seat to make sure she still fit it safely!
